I waited at the doctor's office for over two hours the other day and was happy that was all! What was I thinking? I still keep trying to win the lottery, but if I had to pick money over time - I would pick time. As one approaches any of those "special ages"....30, 40, 60 , 80...heck any of them, we are more acutely aware that the clock is ticking. My first grandchild, sweet and beautiful and funny is now twenty-two and has his own apartment. Where did that time go? Each of us bellyaches about how time is flying, but think about this...who is wasting that precious time against our will? If we allow a service provider to waste our time because they are so important, we are doing a disservice to ourselves. I'm just saying....I (we) have to quit complaining and let people know that we are on the slippery side of the slope and we won't be disrespected. I know that if my doctor had the President of the United States waiting in his lobby....wait, of course the President wouldn't have to wait. His time is important and so is he. Sure, things happen and we all get behind, but I know when I have an appointment for anything I am always 15-20 minutes early so I don't inconvenience the person I am meeting. Who are you waiting for? Why? What cha going to do about it? It was my intention to blog once a week about a special word. I got behind. I couldn't find the time. Next time. :)
